GGF member and Conservatory Association member

GGF member and Conservatory Association memberSummer Conservatories was established in 1981. We have been members of the Glass and Glazing Federation since 1990, members of the Conservatory Association since it was founded, a FENSA registered company since FENSA was launched and a TrustMark registered firm since this government initiative was launched in January 2006.

Summer Conservatories has been a member of the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) since 1990. The GGF is the recognized leading authority in the UK glass and glazing industry. GGF members work across the industry from emergency glazing, applied film, conservatories, windows, doors, fire resistant glazing, glazing components, flat glass, curtain walling, mirrors, toughened glass, curved glass, extrusions, hardware, glass merchanting, insulated glass and laminated glass.

Summer Conservatories has been a member of the Conservatory Association since it was founded. The Conservatory Association is a specialist division within the Glass and Glazing Federation.

GGF member companies are vetted before joining to ensure quality of service. This vetting process includes making a site visit to the company's premises, checking three years of their accounts and taking up references. Members are bound to comply with the government approved GGF Code of Good Practice. Members are bound to comply with British Standards and the Technical Standards laid out in the Federation's Glazing Manual. The GGF also provides a free conciliation service, should a customer and a member company not see eye to eye over work carried out. In the rare cases that this does not work, the GGF has an independent arbitration scheme run by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Deposits placed with GGF Members are protected by an indemnity scheme, backed by CGNU, which safeguards deposits up to £3,000 or 25% of the contract price, whichever is lower (deposit protection applies to glass and glazing products only including conservatory orders but not garden buildings).
